MS Dhoni The Untold Story 3rd day box office First weekend 66 Cr total 3 days Earning

The movie lacked the grandeur and emotional undertone. To me, it seemed flat. While Sushant Rajput put a lot of effort to be the bit for the role, I felt, he wasn’t completely convincing as an actor, I for one, wasn’t able to relate to him most of the times. The goose-bump effect that is so vital for a sports film, was missing. The narrative was way different than the usual sports narrative, in fact, on some occasions, the movie seemed to move faster than it should, and in other cases, it was too much of a drag to be entertaining, script writing is to be blamed. For a change, that the actor has surpassed the director in preparation and effort in a film, it doesn’t happen so often anywhere, so that was one good thing, having said that, I was expecting better from Sushant Rajput, in fact, I was a bit disappointed with the performance. Neeraj Pandey went beyond his comfort zone of thrillers and from what I see, he failed at it. The female leads were mostly disappointing and added to the death in an emotional undertone. We hope that MS Dhoni The Untold Story box office collection shatter all the record of 2016 years. It already surpassed the SRK Fan movie opening day and weekend box office business record.

The storyline was way better than the approach that the script writing took which was rather abysmal. The camera man was not as good either, they could have used someone from the cricket circuit to work with them better. I was hoping to see the flying cameras, and the drone view thingy, which was there during the 2011 world cup. Everything was vague and flat.

Having said that, it is not a bad film at all. Enjoyable watch, but as a movie, it could have been done way better, let’s say with someone like Rakesh Omprakash Mehra.

The story had some flaws, most important of which was missing out on important life events of the star from the small town, being captain, the controversies and the rise to fame were missed out, information was misconstrued for the sake of dramatizing it. MS Dhoni’s tryst with the Indian version of Paparazzi was neglected. These things could have added to the effect big time.
